Concrete and Gold
Foo Fighters Come to Town
By: John A. Carlos II
The Foo Fighters, stormed into Columbia for the first time in the band’s 22-year history, for the “Concrete and Gold” tour, which is also the name of group's ninth studio album, released in September.
Colonial Life Arena buzzed with excitement as the Foo Fighters curtain went up, signaling that the show was about to begin. Sound and fury soon followed as the first cords of "Run," the first single from Concrete and Gold, started to fill the arena, the bang of drums, the flash of lights and with all the stagecraft of a seasoned magician, the Foo's curtain vanished, revealing the band for the first time in Columbia.
